Massie and her friends Isabelle Ecklin and May Piaget, joined the WILPF Peace Train on their voyage to the Beijing Womens' Conference in 1995. The Peace Train travelled through 11 different Eastern European countries meeting with women activists to work in solidarity on women's issues. Massie worked in particular with anti-nuclear activists  and brought many stories of resistance forward in the film Between Peace and Distance.
